Withdrawal Policy

1. Introduction

The "International Journal of Machine Learning Research in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence" (IJMLRCAI) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the academic record. Withdrawal of a manuscript is an uncommon event that necessitates careful consideration and adherence to the following policy.

2. Grounds for Withdrawal

A manuscript may be withdrawn from IJMLRCAI under the following circumstances:

  • Author-Initiated Withdrawal: The corresponding author requests withdrawal before the peer review process begins.
  • Editorial Withdrawal: The editorial team identifies significant ethical breaches or administrative errors.

3. Withdrawal Process

3.1 Author-Initiated Withdrawal:

  • Authors must submit a formal withdrawal request via email to the Editor-in-Chief (editor@ijmlrcai.com) citing the reasons for the request.
  • The request should include the manuscript ID, title, and names of all authors.
  • Withdrawal requests are only considered before the manuscript enters the peer review process. If the manuscript is already under review, the authors must provide a compelling reason for the withdrawal request.
  • The editorial team will acknowledge receipt of the withdrawal request within five working days.

3.2 Editorial Withdrawal:

  • The editorial team may withdraw a manuscript if there are substantial ethical concerns (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication) or significant administrative errors.
  • The authors will be notified of the reasons for the withdrawal and given an opportunity to respond.

4. Post-Withdrawal Actions

  • Publication Record: The withdrawal of a manuscript will be recorded in the journal’s database and the manuscript management system.
  • Communication: The corresponding author will receive a formal notification of withdrawal. If the manuscript has already been published online, a withdrawal notice will be posted in place of the manuscript, stating the reasons for withdrawal.
  • Author Responsibilities: Authors are responsible for notifying all co-authors of the withdrawal. IJMLRCAI will not mediate any authorship disputes arising from the withdrawal.

5. Special Considerations

  • Resubmission: A withdrawn manuscript may be resubmitted only if the issues leading to the withdrawal have been addressed satisfactorily. The resubmission will be treated as a new submission.
  • Multiple Withdrawals: Frequent or repeated withdrawal requests by the same authors may lead to sanctions or restrictions on future submissions to IJMLRCAI.

6. Ethical Compliance

Withdrawal of manuscripts due to ethical breaches will be reported to relevant authorities, such as the authors’ institutions and funding bodies. IJMLRCAI adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines in handling withdrawal cases.
