Telemedicine has emerged as a transformative approach in cancer care, providing patients with increased accessibility to healthcare services through virtual consultations and remote monitoring. This paradigm shift has been accelerated by advancements in digital health technologies and the necessity driven by the COVID-19 pandemic. Telemedicine facilitates continuous patient engagement, timely medical intervention, and enhanced care coordination, particularly for those in remote or underserved areas. This paper explores the role of telemedicine in oncology, examining its impact on patient outcomes, the efficiency of cancer care delivery, and the challenges and opportunities associated with its implementation. By reviewing current literature and case studies, we highlight how telemedicine is reshaping cancer treatment pathways, improving patient satisfaction, and addressing barriers to traditional healthcare models. Furthermore, we discuss the integration of telemedicine with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and wearable devices, which hold promise for further enhancing cancer care.
