Abstract

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) mandates stringent financial reporting and compliance standards for publicly traded companies, including those in the pharmaceutical sector. This paper investigates the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in streamlining Identity and Access Management (IAM) and cybersecurity processes to enhance SOX compliance. By leveraging AI technologies such as machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and anomaly detection, pharmaceutical companies can automate compliance monitoring, improve data integrity, and fortify security protocols. The study highlights the integration of AI in risk assessment, user behavior analytics, and real-time reporting, which collectively reduce human error and operational inefficiencies. Through case studies and empirical analysis, this paper aims to demonstrate how AI can transform SOX compliance into a more proactive and efficient framework, ultimately fostering greater trust among stakeholders and improving corporate governance in the pharmaceutical industry.
