Abstract

In the healthcare sector, the protection of sensitive patient information is paramount, necessitating robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems to ensure compliance with various regulatory standards, including HIPAA, GDPR, and others. This paper explores the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in streamlining IAM audits within healthcare organizations. By automating routine audit processes, enhancing anomaly detection, and facilitating real-time monitoring, AI significantly improves the efficiency and effectiveness of IAM audits. This study highlights the challenges faced by healthcare organizations in maintaining compliance and discusses how AI-driven solutions can address these issues by providing actionable insights, reducing the risk of human error, and ensuring continuous compliance. The findings suggest that the adoption of AI technologies in IAM audits not only enhances regulatory compliance but also strengthens overall security postures in healthcare organizations.
